CHECK IN Seyahat etmeyi seven biri olarak en çok nerede olmayı seviyorsunuz?
T.S: Her yerde Evren içindeki herhangi bir nokta olabilir, sadece dünya değil. Mikrokozmos, makrokozmos da dahil…

CHECK IN Doğal yaşam içerisinde en çok ne yapmaktan keyif alıyorsunuz?
T.S: Her şeyi; Dalmayı, uçmayı, yüzmeyi, doğanın içinde durmayı, kuşları, hayvanları, bitkileri, ağaçları gelişirken seyretmeyi, onların içinde durmayı… Rüzgarın sesini dinlemeyi, suyun altındaki dünyayı keşfetmeyi… Doğayı ben çok seviyorum, şehir hayatından çok daha fazla tercih ediyorum.

CHECK IN Doğanın korunması ile ilgili olarak neler yapıyorsunuz, yeni aktiviteler var mı?
T.S: Bizimki pek aktivite bazında değil aslında. Çünkü ben hem Greenpeace’in hem TEMA’nın hem ÇEVKO’nun hem de diğer pek çok örgütün aktif üyelerinden biriyim. Bazılarının sesiyim, bazılarının da hem yüzü hem sesiyim. Dolayısıyla “Elimizden geleni ardımıza koymuyoruz.” diyebilirim.

CHECK IN Doğa ile baş başa yaşayan biri olarak, doğal yaşamın size getirileri neler oldu?
T.S: Pek çok şey… Ancak, yaşayan anlayabilir bunu. Hayata çok daha pozitif bakmak, çok daha alçakgönüllü bakmak, çok daha sakin bakmak, çok daha doğanın güzelliğini hissederek ve onun gücünü, enerjisini bilerek bakmak. Kendimizi bir halt zannetmemek yani…

CHECK IN İnsanlar şehir yaşamı içinde genel olarak mutsuzlar, önerileriniz var mı?
T.S: Doğayla iç içe dursunlar, çözülür o zaman olay.

CHECK IN Doğada yaşamı seçenleri ne tür zorluklar bekliyor?
T.S: Evet, çok zor anları da var. Çok dikkatli ve çok kontrollü olmak gerekiyor. Her an her şey olabilir. Ama bir süre sonra, insan zekiyse eğer her şey gibi buna da alışıyor.

CHECK IN Doğada yaşayan insanlar arasında paylaşım nasıl, zamanla çıkar ilişkileri yok oluyor mu?
T.S: Bu çok bütünsel bir soru, bilemiyorum. İnsan faktörü işin içine girdiği anda oradan her şeyi bekleyebilirsin, negatif her şey çıkabilir. Dolayısıyla paylaşım nasıl, zamanla çıkar ilişkileri yok olur mu bilmiyorum ama en azından kendi adıma ve doğayla gerçekten uzun süredir olan ya da doğaya gerçekten saygı duyan insanların arasında bu tip problemler olduğuna inanmıyorum. Olsa bile tek tük, eser sayıdadır.

CHECK IN Tiyatro ya da TV ile ilgili olarak yeni projeleriniz var mı?
T.S: Yok… TV ile ilgili projem, TV’nin tamamen yok olabilmesi.
Zaten 7 yıldır bunun için çaba sarf ediyorum. Yavaş yavaş da sona doğru geldi televizyon. Tiyatro da insanın karısı gibidir. Kendinden başka bir şeye izin vermez. Oysa çok fazla şeyi bir arada yapmak mümkün… Bunların arasında da sadece tek bir şey yapmak derdinde değilim.

CHECK IN Ünlü birinin yaşamını tiyatroda canlandırsanız, bu kim olurdu?
T.S: Bilmem, pek çok kişi olabilirdi. Mesela, Hawking fena fikir değil. Einstein da aynı şekilde… Müzikten bir dolu dahi var. Sinemanın kendi içinde yarattığı pek çok dahi var. Bilmem, ilginç olması yeterli…

CHECK IN Türkiye’deki sanat kurumlarının kapatılması konusunda neler düşünüyorsunuz?
T.S: Bunlar çok geniş çaplı işler ama bence, insanların niye sanatla ilgilenmediklerini ya da ne kadar az ilgilendiklerini herkes bir kere daha tekrar düşünmeli ve sebepleri ve sonuçları bulmalı…

CHECK IN Son günlerde neler okuyorsunuz ve dinliyorsunuz?
T.S: Açıkçası bir şey okuyacak olursam daha çok e-kitap okuyorum. Dergi okuyorum. Bunların arasında Geo, Bilim Teknik ve Populer Science dergilerini düzenli olarak okuyorum. Tek bir kitap okumuyorum. Aynı anda 5-6-8-10 tane kitabı okuyorum, mooduma ve enerjime göre… Müzik de aynı şekilde, down tempo bir şey dinleyebilirim, zeybek de, rebet de, Filipinler’den bir parça ya da 17. yüzyıldan bir şey de dinleyebilirim. Güzel olan her şeyi dinliyorum.

CHECK IN Kıbrıs’ta bulundunuz mu, gezme imkanınız olduysa ilginizi çeken bir yer oldu mu?
T.S: Kıbrıs’ta yaklaşık 20’ye yakın defa bulundum Gezme imkanım oldu, bir değil üç beş tane çok üst düzeyde, çok ilginç yer var. Bunlardan bir tanesi Maronit köyü, orayı herkes görmeli ve tanımalı. Çok doğal bir yer orası bence. Aynı zamanda Güzelyurt’un özellikle sonuna doğru olan kısmı gerçekten çok enteresan… İnsanlar sadece Türkiye’de olduklarını zannediyor ama orada bulunan caretta carettaların da çok ciddi bir koruma alanı olması gerekirken oradan su geçirmeyi tercih ediyor arkadaşlar! Aynı zamanda oraya gelmeden, suyun aktarılacak olduğu tepe de inanılmaz derecede başarılı ve güzel bir yer. Beşparmak Dağları’nın, Karmi, Lapta gibi yerlerin üstlerine bakan taraflarının da çok güzel olduğunu düşünüyorum.

CHECK IN Kıbrıs’a ve Checkin Dergisi okuyucularına mesajınız var mı?
T.S: Var, beni takip etmek isteyenler Facebook, Twitter, Instagram ya da vineo’dan, kendi hesabımdan takip edebilirler. Herhangi bir şekilde iletişime geçmek isteyen olursa bekleriz. Ekiple beraber sosyal medya hesaplarımızda, günde 18 saat yayın yapıyoruz. Hergün Belkide bu yüzden 2 milyonu aşkın kişi bizi takip ediyor. Kıbrıs’ı çok seviyorum. Kıbrıs benim için çok çok özel ve güzel…

CHECK IN Where would you like to be the most as being someone who loves to travel?
T.S: Everywhere it could be any point within the Universe, not only the world. Including microcosm and macrocosm…

CHECK IN What do you enjoy doing the most in the natural habitat?
T.S: Everything; Diving, flying, swimming, being in the nature, birds, animals, plants, watching trees grow, standing within them… Listening to the sound of wind, exploring the world under the water… I love the nature very much which I mostly prefer to city life.

CHECK IN What do you do about protecting the nature, do you have new activities?
T.S: Actually ours is not on the basis of activity. Since I am one of the active members of Greenpeace and TEMA and also ÇEVKO and also many other organizations. I am the voice of some of them and I am the voice as well as the face of others. Therefore, I would say “We do our best”.

CHECK IN As being someone living within the nature, what does the natural life bring to your life?
T.S: A lot of things… Only someone who lives could understand this. To look at life more positive, much more modest, much calmer, feeling the beauty of nature more and looking with the knowledge of its power and energy. So not to get above ourselves…

CHECK IN People are usually sad within the city life, do you have any suggestions?
T.S: They should be within the nature; the problem will be sold then.

CHECK IN What kind of challenges awaits those who have chosen life in nature?
T.S: Yes there are also very difficult moments. You need to be very careful and very controlled. Anything could happen at any moment. But after a while, people get used to this just like any other things if they were smart enough.

CHECK IN How is sharing among the people living in nature, does the privity disappears in time?
T.S: This is a very holistic question, I don`t know. If there is a factor that human beings are involved everything could be expected, everything could be negative. Therefore, I don`t know if there is sharing and if the privity disappears but at least I, myself, do not believe that there are these kinds of problems between people who are within the nature for a long time or people who really respect nature. Even if there are some, it is minimal.

CHECK IN Do you have any new projects with regards to theatre or TV?
T.S: Nope… My TV related project; completely destroy TV. I am already striving for this for 7 years. The Television slowly came towards the end anyways. Theatre is like the wife of a person. It doesn`t allow anything else. However, a lot is possible to do together… My purpose is not to only do one of these things.

CHECK IN If you were to perform a famous person, who would this person be?
T.S: I don`t know, it could be many. For instance, Hawking is not a bad idea. Same as Einstein… There are many talented within the world of music. There are many talented originated from the cinema. I don`t know, it is enough to be interesting…

CHECK IN What do you think about the closure of art institutions in Turkey?
T.S: These are very large scale matters but for me, people should think one more time why they are not interested in art or why they are less interested in art and find out the reasons and results…

CHECK IN What do you read and listen to these days?
T.S: Honestly if I were to read something I would mostly read e-books. I read magazines. Along these, I regularly read Geo, Science and Technology and Popular Science magazines. I don`t only read one book. I read 5-6-8-10 books at the same time depending on my mood and energy… Same as music, I could listen to down tempo, zeybek, rebet, Filipino music or something from the 17th century. I listen to everything that is nice.

CHECK IN Have you been to Cyprus, is there anywhere that you are interested if you had a chance to explore?
T.S: I have been to Cyprus approximately close to 20 times I had a chance to explore, not one but three/five places really took my interest, there are very interesting places. One of these is the village of Maronites; everyone should see and get familiarized with. It is a very interesting place for me. At the same time, especially towards the end of Güzelyurt it is very interesting… People think they are only in Turkey but even though there has to be a serious protection area for caretta carettas, our ‘friends’ prefer to transfer water from there! At the same time before the water reaches there, there is a hill where the water is transferred which is incredibly successful and beautiful. I think the top of Five Finger Mountains on the side of such places as Karmi and Lapta are very beautiful.

T.S: Yes there is, those who want to follow me on Facebook, twitter, Instagram or vineo, they could follow my own account. If anyone wants to get in contact with us in anyway, we will be waiting.
